Hello! I’m a philosopher working primarily at the intersection of ethics, broadly construed, and cognitive science.

I completed my PhD in philosophy in 2018 at the University of Michigan, then spent the 2018-19 academic year as a visiting Assistant Professor of philosophy at Amherst College. In Fall 2019, I returned to the University of Michigan as a lecturer and Assistant Director of the Weinberg Institute for Cognitive Science.

Before graduate school, I completed a BA in psychology, Indonesian studies, and philosophy (Honours) at the University of Sydney.

In my free time, I especially enjoy cooking (and eating!), biking, traveling, and hanging out with dogs (especially this one and this one).

Feel free to get in touch at mbollard@umich.edu.
